Admission Guidelines & Policies

Welcome to Orion International School. Please review our comprehensive eligibility criteria, admission processes, academic subjects, and school guidelines below.

Age Criteria & Process

Age Criteria: Children seeking admission to LKG must have completed 4 years of age at the time of admission.

For Nursery:

  • Direct admission is available for Nursery. No entrance test is required.

For Classes above Nursery:

  • All students seeking admission to classes above Nursery are required to undergo a written test followed by an oral test. Only students who qualify both tests will be eligible for admission.

Transfer Certificate Policy

Qualified students must produce a valid Transfer Certificate from their previous institution at the time of joining. Admission will not be confirmed without it.

At the Time of Admission

The following items are available at the school store and are to be purchased at the time of admission on cash payment:

  • Textbooks
  • Notebooks
  • School uniform items

Medium of Instruction

English is the medium of instruction at Orion International School. All students are expected to speak English within the school premises at all times.

Students admitted to Orion International School will be taught the following subjects:

Hindi
Mathematics
General Science
Social Science
General Knowledge
Computer Science
Drawing

Fee & Financial Policies

  • Students who take admission are liable to pay fees for the whole academic year.
  • Fees once remitted will not be refunded under any circumstances.
  • If fees are not remitted in time, a late fine of Rs. 50 will be imposed.
  • All dues must be cleared before examinations to receive admit cards in time.
  • Caution deposit will not be refunded if a student discontinues in between the session.

Withdrawal

  • Before withdrawing a student from the school, one month's notice must be served.
  • Only parents and guardians may apply for a Transfer Certificate in writing using the prescribed form available in the school diary.
  • A fee of Rs. 50 will be charged for the Transfer Certificate.
  • No Transfer Certificate will be issued unless all dues are cleared.

School Operational Rights

The school reserves the right to ask parents to withdraw their ward if progress in studies is unsatisfactory, attendance is irregular, or conduct is harmful to other children.

Hostel Admissions

For students seeking residential admission, the following additional conditions apply:

  • All students must be inoculated against Cholera, Typhoid, and Tuberculosis and vaccinated against Smallpox and Hepatitis B before joining the hostel.
  • A list of items to be brought to the hostel will be provided to each parent at the time of admission.

⚠️ Serious Illness Restriction Notice: Children suffering from Epilepsy, Hysteria, Heart conditions, or any other serious illness will not be admitted to the hostel.

  • Ordinary Communications: Ordinary communications may be made through the child's school diary, which must be brought to school every day.

⚠️ Assembly Hours Communication Restriction

Parents are kindly requested not to call between 8:45 AM and 9:15 AM as this is the designated timeframe for our morning assembly. Calls during this window will not be attended.
