Empowering Young Minds for a Brighter Tomorrow

Rules & Code of Discipline

Orion International School maintains a strict standard of discipline, structural punctuality, and moral code. These regulations ensure a safe, focused, and harmonious academic environment optimized for student development.

School Timings, Attendance & Campus Access

Punctuality forms the bedrock of institutional learning. All students are required to follow these scheduling structures explicitly:

  • Morning Assembly Hours: Morning assembly officially begins at 8:45 AM. Every single student must reach the campus framework prior to 8:45 AM. School classes officially begin at 9:00 AM.
  • Examination Attendance Benchmark: Students who maintain less than 55% attendance will be restricted from sitting for their terminal examinations.
  • Premises Movement Rule: No student will be permitted to leave the school premises during running class timings or recess periods without written, verified prior permission from the authority. Violation of this framework results in immediate suspension and subsequent formal dismissal.

Official School Uniform Standards

The school uniform must be proudly and neatly worn by every student throughout the entire session. Failure to wear the proper designated uniform is treated as a punishable offence.

Mon, Tue, Thu & Fri Uniform

  • Sky Blue Shirt & Navy Blue Pant / Skirt
  • Striped Neck Tie & Official School Belt
  • School Badge fixed correctly
  • Black Shoes & Navy Blue Socks with Sky Blue Stripes
  • Grey Sweater (Half) / Navy Blue Coat (Season specific)

Wed & Sat (Sports/Activity)

  • White T-Shirt featuring the School Emblem
  • White Long Pant / Skirt
  • Official School Belt
  • White Shoes & White Socks featuring Navy Blue Stripes

General Conduct Rules

  • All students must remain habitually clean and always impeccably dressed.
  • Any structural damage caused to school property or fellow peers' belongings must be completely compensated either individually or collectively.
  • Bringing magazines, comic books, or novels into the school compound is completely prohibited.
  • Leaving campus during working hours for external religious or cultural functions is not allowed. If attendance is critical, parents should keep the child home for the day.

🗣️ Medium of Instruction & Communication:

English is the exclusive language of instruction and communication. Students must speak English inside the premises at all times. Use of other languages or dialects is a punishable offence and may incur structural fines.

Leave of Absence Policy

  • Leave frameworks will only be granted for verified, completely genuine reasons.
  • If an absence exceeds a timeframe of **one week**, a formal application copy must be countersigned by the Principal, securely held by the parent, and produced upon the student's classroom return.
  • Any student absent for **15 consecutive working days** without prior approved permission will be marked as **"Left"**. Re-admission will require treating them as an entirely new candidate with fresh formalities.
  • Students returning after medical treatment for an infectious or contagious disease must provide a verified doctor's clearance certificate before rejoining class groups.
  • Specific reasons for absence must be briefly noted down directly in the Regularity Record section of the student’s School Diary by the parent or legal guardian.

Examinations, Assessment & Academic Promotion

  • No Re-Examinations: Under no standard circumstances will re-examinations be organized or executed.
  • Absence Penalty: Students absent from examinations without an exceptionally grave, emergency reason will automatically be considered as failed.
  • Core Subject Failure: Failing in any major core subject instantly renders the candidate ineligible for promotion to the next grade standard.
  • Double Failure Rule: Any student who fails twice within the same class limits will be formally asked to leave the school framework.
  • Principal Discretion: Final promotion depends on the Principal's absolute discretion based on year-round continuous assessments. Year-end results are final, will not be reconsidered, and answer evaluation papers will not be shown under any conditions.

Protocols For Parents & Guardians

  • Classroom Access: Parents and guardians are restricted from visiting teachers in active classrooms without explicit prior permission from the Principal's office.
  • Communication Channels: All complaints, structured feedback, and specific suggestions must be routed through the Principal only.
  • Insubordination Warning: Criticizing school faculty or rules in front of students risks causing structural insubordination. Parents are requested to be mindful of this risk.
  • Authority Misbehavior: If any parent misbehaves with the school authority figures, they will be instantly compelled to withdraw their ward from the institution.

🚫 Prohibited Substances Notice

Parents or individuals under any alcoholic influence will be barred from entering the school compound. Additionally, smoking and chewing pan are strictly prohibited within any area of the school campus limits.

Absolute Dismissal & Withdrawal Clauses

The school reserve administration retains the explicit right to dismiss a student from the logs without prior notice under any of the following emergency conditions:

Attendance & Dues Habitual irregular attendance patterns or continuous failure to remit dues in time.
Behavioral Conduct Disrespectful behaviour toward teachers or conduct injurious to the school's moral tone.
Medical Health Bearing a serious communicable disease that poses health risks to the student body.

* Note: In all implementation and execution of disciplinary matters, the official judgment and decision of the Principal remains ultimate and final.
